1. What are the materials that you used?
Kaplan, Kaplan's Qbank online, Mosby's Illustrated Review for NCLEXRN.
2. How many hours per day did you study? at least 2-3 hours a day.
how many questions did u answer per day? it varies. if I was off from work, I will answer as much as 300 questions.
3. How many days or months in total you studied before taking the exam? six months ( about the same time I waited for my ATT).
4. What are the specific strategies that you used or the the test taking skills you applied during the exam? study when your not tired. focus on the objectives of the review chapter. don't rely only on the review book, go back to your textbooks, because they have more information than your review books. Don't answer questions without analyzing it, ( I know, this sound kinda dumb ). Do not memorize, because you will forget it anyways. just familiarize.
5. Take one or take two? took it once.

Thank you.. This will be a great help for us...
Also, try not to stress out too much about the exam. you need to live your life too. I notice people tend to focus too much on the review, and they forget to breathe !!! make sure you spend time with your family and friends also. remember, passing NCLEXRN doesn't mean you can go to the USA the next day. Pls. take your time with self review, you made the wise decision ( and save your parents money too). Goodluck

1. WHAT ARE THE MATERIALS THAT YOU USED?

I used NCSBN online review for 12 weeks then after did some practice questions using NCLEX Made Incredibly Easy practice tests and Saunders 3rd ed. practice tests CD ROM.

2. HOW MANY HOURS PER DAY DID YOU STUDY? HOW MANY QUESTIONS DID YOU ANSWER PER DAY?

It really depends on my mood. I don't want to force myself to study if I'm not in the mood.

Usually, I try to answer at least 75 questions. During the last few months of my review, I try to answer 265 questions.

3. HOW MANY DAYS OR MONTHS IN TOTAL YOU STUDIED BEFORE TAKING THE EXAM?

Believe it or not, I studied for 8 months.

4. WHAT ARE THE SPECIFIC STRATEGIES THAT YOU USED OR THE TEST TAKING SKILLS YOU APPLIED DURING THE EXAM?

Read the questions carefully and analyze.

5. TAKE ONE OR TAKE TWO?

Take ONE!

I used Saunders. By the way, I studied while working at the same time as a Interim Permitee.

Suggest that you check out the NCLEX Forum that we have on Allnurses.com...............preparation for that exam is not country specific. There are many tips and suggestions to be found there.

Best of luck on your exam.
