yes angelcharm, you can apply to a US BON even without taking the local board exam. It has been discussed a lot of times in this site. You can apply to a BON without a local license.

hey!...we have someone here who's impolite!...

i think you should read the other threads here, angelcharm, before firing!..as freeandsingle said, it has been discussed here many times...BON is Board of Nursing, and all US states AND territories have their own Board Of Nursing. Based on my experience, Saipan Board of Nursing accepts applicants without NLE license. It is not one of their requirements. Their document evaluation is faster than other BONs. My eligibility was issued 1 month from the date of mailing, but it took another 1 month to receive it by snail mail. That was last May. But from what Ive read from other posts, it will now take 2-3months of processing bec of the influx of applications. But their ATT is valid for 3months only. So register only with Pearson if you are ready to sit for the exam. Once passed, they can issue your license even without SSN.

but to answer ur question.. i think it will NOT affect the board exam on december for so many reasons but the major ones are :

1. different set of test questions

2. different board members

so what fate are you talking about?! the june board is an isolated case.. i think your fear is not about the issue of the june board but if the exam would be difficult for your level and that u might flunk.

Assess yourself, if you think u are ready to take the exam then take it. If not... then review again
as we all know, even those examinees that did not participated in the June NLE leakage were affected by it...vanniella_skye's concern is that the December NLE testtakers might suffer the consequences of the recent leakage, just as what happened to the other "clean" June examinees...it is but normal for her to be concerned...

just an unsolicited advice, i suggest you reply to our co-members' queries in a polite manner...even our moderators' dont "speak" that way...

then u replied.. with this..

You can. I know that Saipan BON allows that. I applied there and got my eligibility. No need for PRC license. Just your birth certif, marriage certif, photos, US$80 bank draft together with your application form. And of course, your High School and College transcripts, RLE sent by your respective schools.

Follow our moderators' advice.

so since you quoted me, i replied to you...

where have i become impolite?
i dont even use all caps or big letters (size). but if u think i am then i apologize.

i think you and i are not on the right track...

look,

apply for a board of nursing and

apply to a board of nursing

are two different things...

my reply was on her first statement.. but then i guess she later clarified that when she responded

your interpretation is that she is concerned with the consequences...
my interpretation is that she fears the exam.. becoz it is unpredicable.
considering the fact that:
1. there are new board members to make the exam
2. different questions
3. they will become more strict than before
4. they do not want to commit the same mistakes.

i have been in the same anxiety when i took my board exam.. so i know how it feels to be concerned.
