Where to purchase a PDA

Hi, I am interested in purchashing a PDA in the near future (most likely a HP IPAQ hx2495). I wanted to know from those of you who have one where did you get it? And, did you get a good price?? As a soon to be very poor nursing student a good price is a must for me

Hi Nursecadet,

When I go shopping online I do tons of research from user websites, vendor websites, and I always compare prices and vendor ratings at: www.pricegrabber.com

I'd tell you where I got mine, but it was over a year ago and prices & models seem to change daily in the electronics biz.

Good luck and tell us what you decide.

Regards,

Ken

Hey, I want the same model (hp IPAQ hx2495) I went to circuit city to get more info on it but haven't purchased it yet since I didn't start school yet and don't know what study skills will help me. There is a forum designed for PDA questions where you might get more info. like different websites to visit. Just click on "various nursing topics" to find it.

Have you checked E-bay? I got my LifeDrive for just under $300 & I think normally they sell for $450. Just make usre it's new & not a returned or refurbished model.

I was just going to suggest www.ebay.com and then I read your post.

Sometimes on Ebay you can find them preloaded with tons of nursing software too...worth checking out.

I have a Tungsten T5 and love it.

My school actually worked out a deal with skyscape.com and if we bought from them, we got a free drug guide for our PDA.

Good luck in searching for the perfect one for you. It really is invaluable - its so much easier to carry around then books, and only weights not even 1lb.

I've purchased many items through Ebay but I strongly recommend unless one knows exactly what they are doing they avoid Ebay for this kind of purchase (i.e. several hundred dollars, high tech gadget, and you want good vendor support).

Just my 2¢.
