Re: Tungsten E2

I hear it works just fine and many nursing schools that require PDAs have it on their list. I would recommend getting a Palm TX right now because it is on sale at Circuit City and will only cost you 225 after a mail in rebate.

Just a disclaimer though. I am biased because I just bought the TX and am abosolutely in love with this thing. Hubby says I am playing with my little toy more than him. I had to look at him like he was crazy and put my hands of my sons ears and tell him to watch his mouth. That being said, I have to be honest and inform you the Tungsten E2 is also on sale is also on sale for 150.

I picked up my E2 on ebay. You can probably get it for approx 125.00 there. It's my first pda and I like it a lot.

Re: Tungsten E2

I just bought an E2 for school. So far I really like it. I got a few fatal errors with the Documents to Go program that comes with it. It's used to view and edit Word and Excel documents. Apparently it's a known issue, but I just deleted it off of my Palm because I'm mainly using it for the extra storage space and Nursing software. There are other programs out there that you can use instead of Docs to Go if you want to view and edit Word and Excel so I wouldn't let that deter you from getting the E2...it's a problem with the program. I also got the slim leather case for the E2 for $20.00 off the Palm site...it's a great case for the price and doesn't add a lot of size to the Palm.

Overall, I'd say the price is right and the size isn't too bulky so it's easy to carry in your pocket. Screen is nice and colorful...very easy to read. I would get an extra expansion card...I just got the 256Mb since Palm was having a sale on them. I would recommend it.

Re: Tungsten E2

I have been using my Tungsten E2 for over 8 months and love it!!
It was a great investment. I use it all the times in clinicals. I would say, go for it!

What case do you use? I'm not in clinicals yet, but I'm curious if the one I have now will do the job of protecting it during clinicals.

I love the E2! The only slight problem I've had with it is when I play music, the music skips and lags when I'm booting up programs. Other than that it's worth the buck for the bang!

I'd get the hard case (aluminum). You could carry it in your back pocket and sit on it and won't have to worry about it getting destroyed.

Re: Tungsten E2

Been using the E2 on the floor since Christmas and really dig it. It lives in a Rhinoskin aluminum case in my "utility" belt. With the exception mentioned above, have really been enjoying it. It is nice to be able to look stuff up on the fly, although I end up using the resource books on my unit more at the bedside due to speed... I wouldn't know about music playback, use my Shuffle for that. Cheers,
Tom

I am using a black leather wallet with slots for my credit cards and driver's licence. I purchased it on Amazon for $12.
