Thomson/Micromedex/Clinical Xpert ?

I just upgraded to a newer Palm and am putting all sorts of new software on it that I didn't have room for before. Through this website, I saw information on Thomson's Micromedex (Clinical Xpert) being free to students. I have downloaded it, but now it is telling me that I need Crossfire Client to open it. Does anyone know anymore about that? I did go to client's website, but it wouldn't even let me get the free trial. I hate tp pay for it not knowing if I am even going to like the Xpert program. Can anyone help with a solution? Thanks in advance!

I've never heard of needing additional software, but do you have a customer number from your school? Your university has to have a subscription to the Micromedex. Call customer service @ Thomson's; they're really helpful.

Re: Thomson/Micromedex/Clinical Xpert ?

Just a heads up: several people here at U-Mich have d/l'ed Micromedex and it's crashed their PDA. I'm not 100% sure if it's the OS or an incompatibility with Pepid (the School of Nursing's program of choice).

I know I had issues when I didn't have enough memory left on my Palm. Both run fine now that most of the files are stored on a large memory card.

Does the free version have an expiration date?
