PDA Software Suggestions

I'm a nursing student and just purchased a new PDA for school and clinicals. I'm looking for good downloads for Med. Surg. clinicals and beyond --- Drug Guide, Lab Values, Dictionary, Nursing Diagnosis and Intervention, and anything else that will help me with my work and care-plans. I've seen Epocrates, and the free version looks good, but I want to explore all options.

I can't tell you how excited I am about leaving my 200 pound book bag at home!!!

Any suggestions???

Thanks!

Re: PDA Software Suggestions

I love my PDA and wouldn't be without it. There are some wonderful programs out there.

E pocrates, is geared more for the medical student and physician, but has a package deal that includes the lab and medical drugs etc.

SkyScape for nurses and physicians has great programs and any number of books and information.

Check out their sites ((google them.)) I am sure once you get the hang of using your PDA and get on the floor you will see what suits you best. I have recently gone to the smart phone treo 700 P so I could combine my drug books and lab info on my PDA with my need for a cell phone but I only wanted to carry one thing, not two.[

Have fun.

But do they allow 'phones' in hospitals? I also wanted a Treo, but I bought a Palm TX because I didn't think we could use phones on the floor
