PDA/Smartphone/skyscape

hi all! I need your help.. i just got a smartphone/pda and it is the 700p. I downloaded a few apps from skyscape and have them on my computer and tried to "hotsync" them to my phone when i try it says that there is no application on the organizer to handle this file. I have contacted verizon they told me to contact palm. When i did the lady was really not much help to me. Then after a horrible connection we got cut off. i have not yet had a chance to call them back. I am hoping someone can walk me through this in this forum.
this is what i did.

I downloaded the program to my computer for PalmOs and then even tried the smart phone option to download it.

Then I drag it into the palm quick install icon on my computer then i click on it and then on my phone hit hotsync button. (after connecting my phone to my computer).

Then my phone and comp both go through the snycing process and nothing is on my memory card when i am done. I ck the log after and nothing. ANd it is giving me that messag of no application on the organizer to handle this file.

So any help that anyone has would be appreciated! thanks all

Thumbs up Re: PDA/Smartphone/skyscape

Hey i got the solution for you ....

Please note that the basic problem is, the files that you downloaded for eg. productname_palmwin.exe are installation files. These files need to be run (doubleclick them) on the desktop and if you follow the on screen instructions when it runs on the desktop PC, it will automatically install the programs onto the device (if the device is connected to the desktop and will also register the program if it is connected to the internet).

Please delete the files from your install tool and follow the above instructions to install.

You can also view the complete steps at - http://www.skyscape.com/support/guid...mwinguide.aspx

You can also manually install the product with the help of steps mentioned at -
