They talked specifically about PDA's and how just tabbing the book is faster than clicking around looking for the drug you want on the PDA. I really like the convenience of the PDA, smaller, all the other great things I really do need it for, etc. Now I'm wondering if my clinical instructor is going to be ****** if I use the PDA at clinical for drugs instead of the book?!?!?! I don't think she will but if it really will take me longer than she might be.

Anyone have any advice?
you might want to discuss with your instructor as to why you want to get one. does anyone else have it that is in the same clinical as you?? for me, my school is giving us one so i would guess that they would not mind if you had one with you at clinical. honestly it is such a convience i mean now with technology advancing one day hospitals just might go digital! lol who knows?

Re: PDA or no PDA for clinicals?

I am starting my second semester of the RN program in Dayton. The incoming class is required to have a PDA with a bunch of Skyscape software installed. They will buy a Palm TX. I bought one already and think it will be of great value on the floor. Looking up drugs, lab values, etc.
