Ok, i bought an HP iPaq last year and during a renovation at my house, found my poor PDA with an absolutely shattered screen. To have it fixed and I can't find the original warranty information - would probably cost at least half of the cost of the PDA, so I figured I'd just buy myself a new one. I liked my iPaq, but I also want to shop around. I had bought that iPaq on ebay for like $206 and want to spend around $200-300 on a new one. I'd even be willing to go higher for that if it were worth it. What do you guys find is easy to do just overall, general things - to pull up nursing software, to be able to browse the internet, to put digital photos on and I've seen that some can even be used as MP3 players. I want to really put some thought into it this time instead of the impulse buying like i did with the other one.
Thanks!!!

I've heard a lot of bad things about Dell Palms, but the Palm Tungsten E series is pretty good.. I have one and it is great!

I have had an iPAQ, and I just got a Dell X51v a couple of weeks ago. I can't say enough good things about the Dell X51v. I have put my Dell side-by-side with several people who own other brands. Next to my iPAQ, the Dell runs faster, has a lot more memory, and the screen is brighter and clearer. I have to class mates that bought the Palm Lifedrive, and my Dell is (hands down) nicer. We compared the speeds running the exact same software (Skyscapes Constellation) on both, and my Dell was faster. My screen is much brighter and more crisp and clear to read. Palm based PDA's don't present the information in nearly as nice a format as the Pocket PC software, which is a Windows based application. Everything came across my screen much nicer then it did the other PDA's. I have lots of memory on mine, 2 types of memory slots (both SD and CF), built in WiFi and Bluetooth. It is faster than pretty much any other PDA out there, and it has the best screen display. The downside is that it was a little expensive, but seeing that I was going to be using everyday, I thought I should spend a little more money and get what I was really going to be happy with. I spent $375 on my Dell X51v, but I think it was worth every penny. Hope this helps. Good luck shopping for a PDA...there are several nice ones out there.

I also have the Dell X51v and LOVE it. I can't think of a single complaint.

Well after some hemming and hawing, I decided to go with the Palm T/X. It shipped yesterday, so we'll see how I like it!
