Hi all,
I have a Palm T/X and have been having a myriad of problems in getting it to synchronize consistently. I have the following:
Windows Vista (HP/Compaq Presario)
The Palm is configured to connect via USB or Wi-Fi. Neither sync method works consistently. When using USB, I receive the error that the "USB device could not be recognized" and the hotsync process will fail. I decided to try the Wi-Fi sync instead - with inconsistent results as well. I am receiving the message that a Wi-Fi connection cannot be established. Since I am more familiar with IP addressing, I thought I would focus on this method of syncing. My IP address is retrieved automatically from my wireless router and I have tested my Palm to see if it will access the Internet to confirm proper configuration. Regarding HotSync - my device is set to look for my laptop using the IP address of the laptop (which has been confirmed) instead of the computer name.
I have installed the latest version of Palm software/hotsync - once again with occasional syncing - but still inconsistent at best.
Has anyone else encountered sync difficulties? I am trying to install a trial version of Skyscape and the program requires two sync processes to complete (for the trial version anyway).
I've been online looking in IT forums and haven't found a solution yet - seems I'm not the only one... I thought I would check the nurses PDA forum as well to see if anyone else may be having/had the same problem.
I've always been pretty good about troubleshooting this type of thing, but this one has me stumped.
Many thanks,
Shawna
