I just ordered a Palm E2 and i've been reading over TONS of software posts.
The Nursing Central Suite ($149.00); is this something that must be renewed annually? I'm still deciding on how much software i'll need for my upcomming clinicals.

If I don't get the suite; and decide on a drug guide & dictionary...
(At the Palm site)I noticed that Davis has two software versions (a)a drug guide and (b) a drug guide with calculations; both cost the same. Is the drug guide w/calculations a stripped down version compared to the regular Davis guide?

Another person recommended a free drug guide (apocrites?).
Is there a catch to this freeware...(popups or ads)?

just got my renewal notice a few months ago. I did not renew it. Maybe when I start making some $$ but not now. I can do with what I have got

Be forewarned because I just discovered this, the palm website states that you get 20% off software download when you register your pda. I discovered that you get the 20% off of those software programs that they list. When you get your notice that you get the 20%, double click the e-mail that states that you get 20% and you'll find out what software they are willing to discount and it doesn't include Nursing Central. Very misleading.

To my knowledge you don't HAVE to renew nursing central each year, but you won't get updates if you don't..........

Epocrates is free & easy to use, but doesn't have enough info based on what my instructors want me to know.....but I keep it just in case it might have something my Davis doesn't, since it's free why not?

Is the suite (davis, tabers ect) still available to you? Or you just didn't get the updates like another poster said... I plan on buying it but just couldn't get any info about it on the website.
