Need Mac users help: which one? iphone, BB, palm

Im ready to get a smartphone, but being a Mac user Im not sure between iPhone, BB and Palm. I had every intention on an iphone but having to connect via wifi/edge does not appeal to me. I've used others iphones on the edge network and it was slow at best. I like the BB, but lack of bluetooth syncing turns me off, maybe not a big deal. I like the ability to tether a treo to my macbook as a modem if ever needed.

I want a smartphone that I can use some nursing programs on and sync my ical and contacts with ease. Im not a huge texter and will send most e-mails at home. What should I get? I'm currently on cingular.

Thanks,
L

I'm a mac user also and currently use a T3 and have since it came out a few years ago--has been very reliable for me and syncs real easy with my macbook pro (using usb though).

I too have been interested in the iphone but plan on waiting until it can replace my palm. There is supposed to be an upgrade coming up for it that allows for 3rd party software install lets see if skyscape jumps on board. Also they just upgraded the ipod touch to have 32g memory, I would think they will upgrade the iphone to have more than 8g memory within the next year.

So maybe you could get an older pda off of ebay with medical software installed and wait for the updated iphone to come out?

A 16 GB iphone was just announced. Retails at $499.

Thanks for the info.

Im now leaning towards something with *gasp* windows mobile on it and using missing synch. I like the looks of the Moto Q9 and the Treo 750.

Will your facility allow you to have a cellphone running on your person on the floor? Will you be able to turn off the phone and still use the PDA feature of your smartphone if they do not?

Re: Need Mac users help: which one? iphone, BB, palm

I have a Palm and a Mac. In order to get it to sync with my iCal, I've had to download Mark/Space software. Then, I get duplicate/triplicate entries on my palm-- UGH! So, their solution is to download yet another piece of 3rd party software (at cost to me) to get it all to sync right. I don't even sync anymore- such a pain. I'm either getting the Touch or iPhone-- let all the programs sync perfectly!!!

I'm an apple fiend too...and leaning towards an iPhone, but am intrigued by what everyone is saying about their Palms.
Anyone seen the latest presentation from Apple? About the 3rd party developer program stuff? Would this change anyone's mind about picking up the iPhone instead?
I guess I'll wait to see what programs pop up too...but oooo I want one!
