Re: long time PALM user thinking about pocket PC...

I have a Dell Axim that I absolutely loved...till I cracked the screen and now Dell is not repairing or replacing that part SO I just ordered a Palm Tungsten and hope that I will like it as much. I hear good things about them so....

Re: long time PALM user thinking about pocket PC...

I'll stay with my Palm T/X. I really like its 320 x 480 screen. It boots faster than my co-workers Windows based PDAs and my T/X has yet to crash on me (Palm OS Garnet 5.4 seems very reliable)... something my Windows equipped co-workers can't say.

My T/X is bulletproof as far as running ER/ICU Suite v.6, Thomson/Micromedex and a few other work related programs. It has great Wi-Fi capability, email, contact and calender usability as well. These are the "make it or break it" issues for me, although I appreciate the MP3 and video playback.

I long for the day that a strong "convergence" device comes along. The Treo is not one of these... (I know an ED MD that has gone through 6 in the hopes that the next model can actually live up to its hype and a recent patient told me that their entire company is trying to dump their 315 Treos for all sorts of problems), the Motorola Q (Windows) is ok by not not great either.

I've looked at all the competition, listened to co-worker complaints and seen them switch back and forth. My T/X gives me what I must have, instant information in a 100% reliable platform... and with a lot of bells and whistles I appreciate.
