Just wondering if anyone uses the HTC Touch or Mogul and if so, could you offer some insight. I am debating whether to get the Touch, Mogul, or the Palm Treo 755. I am also considering just getting a regular PDA but I cannot make up my mind. Is the small screen size of the smartphones an issue when compared to the Palm TX?

Re: HTC Touch/Mogul

Well. I have both a HTC TyTn 2 with everything (WiFi, BT, GPS, HSDPA, 3G) and a palm TX. I use the TX for the hospital and my phone/ pocketpc for everything else. I don't want to use my phone when in the hospital for several reasons. ex. We are not allowed to make calls when at work, and I would probably do that :-) (no self control). I don't want to get blood/urin/feces or simmilar fluids on my phone, or some nasty virus and bring that home with me (hasn't happened yet, and hopefully never will). Also I can set up the palm TX for the hospital stuff and keep my private stuff seperated. The palm TX also has amazing batterylife. I can charge it once every second week and it will be fine. I keep my palm in a aluminium hardshell in my pocket and I would not be without it for reference, drugs and things like that, but my phone is too expensive for getting lost, stolen or broken at work.

Personally, for a student and new nurse, a Palm (or similar device) is just fine. You will be mostly using it for phone numbers of places in - hospital, drug names, usual dosages and/or routes.
