Check out this thread... I just bought my PDA on Overstock.com. I found this thread to be the most helpful of the ones I found doing a search on this site: http://allnurses.com/forums/showthread.php?t=115218

I bought a HP Ipaq pocket pc and have loved it, found so many places to get good software, including my employeer and a friend who is a pharmacist. In my opinion the pocket PC was a better investment then a normal PDA, jsut for functionality outside of work also. I would also suggest buying the thing online, I researched prices around myself and found the same product on-line at almost half the price of local retailers, no tax and free shipping. If you need more info message me here.

The only problem with smartphones is at a lot of facilities cell phones are not allowed so it puts you in a bind. I like pocket PC's, just because of the windows platform at the exceptional amount of software available for it.
