Hi I have heard so many people who are in nursing school and new grads who use PDA's for so much stuff. From downloading their drug book to lab value info etc....but I have NO IDEA what to look for to purchase. There are so many choices out there and of course I am a nursing student and don't have money to burn so I don't want to buy something that will be useless. If you can offer any suggestions I would appreciate it.

You can go on Ebay right now and get a T3 or T5 PDA for $250 with all brand new medical programs that you will need. Check them out!

Hi, I currently am on my 3rd palm pilot. I have the Palm Lifedrive, but for a new user I highly recommend the Tungsten series. They are user friendly and have enough memory to get started. For excellent medical software, try Skyscape.com. Also Handango.com has loads of software of all kinds. I love my palm I use it everyday in everyway, in and out of work. I call it "the brain". It has heaps of medical software as well as my music, pics, calender, calculator, movies, the list goes on.
Good luck, wouldn't necessarily buy from ebay, only because I think a warranty is a good idea.

I have the Lifedrive and love it. I have the Skyscape Constellation and Epocrates and much more and have no trouble with navigating around. I really like having the 4GB drive that leaves plenty of room for adding info.

I also like being able to use the recording feature in lectures without worrying about how much room I have to record or about slowing the system down. I can navigate quickly while at work and do med checks for incompatibilities quickly and have my own resources without looking for the books at work.

Lifedrive is really working well for me.

How long have you had your lifedrive? Could you tell me more about your Lifedrive programs? I am a new student and I can't decide between purchasing a
Lifedrive, Palm TX, or a Dell axim x51v. I really like the idea of built in voice/lecture recording (lifedrive & dell) but I've been reading great things about the TX.

My husband got an HP iPaq for Christmas and loves it so far! He too got software from skyscape.com.
