Re: Has anyone used skyscape products for iphone?

Yes, the Skyscape products are great, but will depend on your connectivity. If you have WI-FI, will work great. Also as you know, they have a very large product base. Around 350-400 products. At present 90% of that are available on iPhone.

Navigation is very easy and they provide calculators, interactive flowcharts, images are also very clear. Another thing what I liked is that you can jump from one product to another product easily.

If iphone started allowing download onto the phone I would have one but I do not want to carry a cell phone and a PDA around. I already have to carry a Nextel phone and a pager at work--would need a ******* tool belt.

I use Skyscape products on my Palm and I can get info pretty much instantly without waiting for anything to load. I'm concerned that using on-line resources & wi-fi would take longer. How quickly can you get info using an iPhone?

I have played with a couple of my friend's iphones and as long as you have a WiFi connection the speed is good but if there isn't it is quite slow. My problem is we do not have an accessible WiFi connection at my hospital.

Are the Skyscape products something you can download and install on the iPhone? Their website doesn't really say they are internet-based, they seem to be applications. http://www.skyscape.com/iphone/

Q: How do I access my Skyscape programs on my iPhone?
RESOLUTION:
  1. Go to http://iphone.skyscape.com on your device.
  2. Login using your Skyscape login credentials
  3. Tap on the title you would like to view.
Apple has kept a closed-system for the iPhone and iTouch, which means only Apple can officially install programs into them. A hack would be required to install 3rd party applications, but that's a different story. There are rumors that Apple will change their official policy, but that remains to be seen.
