I have a Palm TX and have downloaded Skyscape constellation plus a couple other add on programs. I just bought a 2 gb expansion card thinking that would help me free up some space by transferring items to it however ... I now realize a lot of my applications are "locked" and cannot be transferred to the card.

How do the rest of you manage memory space on your Palm TX? I don't know what to safely delete to free up space. I do not have music or photos on the Palm at all. I now know I should have paid the extra money to have Skyscape come on memory cards but it's too late for that.

Any ideas? My TX is running very slow and I often get a message to free up space when I try to access the internet, etc. I'm sure it's a simple solution but I'm not getting it.

This is a program called PowerRUN that does exactly what you need. It can remove databases, which are the largest portion of those programs people get, and places them on the card. This link I provided has the install and complete directions on how to use it.

I will suggest to try to Skyscape customer support. I searched at their website and here is their email id. support@skyscape.com. Also it seems they have online chat support too.

with skyscape comes the "my skyscape" desktop program, that basically gets your skyscape programs back onto your device. so, you can hard reset, and reinstall into the correct place (in your case, you are looking for card install rather than handheld). please note that some programs require handheld placement, though even those likely have another file for the database that can be put onto your card. I have about 20 skyscape programs, and only have used about 25% of my handheld memory so far, the majority going over to my 2gig SD card that is like 5% full...
