All students are required to purchase a PDA through the school and we were not given any notice of this until we got the bill. Some of the students already own a PDA and now they have to buy another. Our school is pretty neutral on PDAs. In a couple of the orientation sessions over the past couple of months, they've brought current students to talk to us, and some use PDAs, others don't.
We've also had a list of materials we need to get for two or three months.......some must be purchased through the school, like shirts for community events, but most items can be purchased by the student wherever he/she sees fit.
Same with books. We got a list of fall semester books back in early June, and can get them where we want.
