Do any of you have a smartphone...

that does not have a touchscreen? I have been researching PDAs and had decided on the Palm TX, but I have been playing around with my husband's Motorola Q and now I can't decide between the two. I put epocrates on his Q and it seems to work pretty good. I also checked Skyscape and most of the programs they have say they a Q compatible. My only concern is that I read some reviews for the Motorola Q from physicians and they say some of their medical programs won't work without a touchscreen. I thought I'd check here and see if any of you have experience with running nursing software on a smartphone that doesn't have a touchscreen.

Also, if you have used both a touchscreen PDA and one with just a keypad instead, do you prefer one over the other? I like the idea of the large screen on the Palm TX, but I also like the idea of having a keypad on it instead of needing to tap the on-screen keyboard with a stylus to type something. Decisions, decisions...

Thanks in advance for your responses : )

I went ahead and ordered the TX. I was kinda hoping to have Windows instead of PalmOS, but I'm sure I'll adapt. I should have it by next week. : )

I"m an old fart and set in my ways, but everytime I try windows PDA/Smartphones I keep going back to palm, so I don't think you'll have a problem. PALM gets the job done.

Re: Do any of you have a smartphone...

I posted on another thread that I have a Motorola Q. I love it. Some of the programs MDs use may not be compatible yet, but they will. The demand is there...It won't take that long for the developers to make them compatible to Smartphone. The ER MD's love my Q and are switching to it...too bad I don't make comission from Motorola or Verizon.
