I carry mine in my cargo pocket of my pants when at the hospital and have recently been thinking I should get a case- I saw a rubber one which would be good if I accidentally bashed my leg into something and my palm is in my pocket- plus I could just use the rubber case for clinical and take it out and clean the rubber pretty easy.
What do you guys think?
Do you use cases- how do clean your pdas from the funk they may acquire in a hospital?
Or it gets thrown around my purse, backpack, car or desk at work- it is looking a little beat up and since it was $320 I would like to keep it relatively decent looking if possible.
What do you guys use- if anything?

Google Sena cases. They have a really nice leather one with room for expansion cards. I'm on my third -- one for my Zire 71, one for the T3, and now one for the T/X.

I have a smartphone and before that several versions of the Palm PDA. When I had the PDA, the hard aluminum case made sense. I worked in the ER and it fit great into my cargo pants pockets. Didn't like the leather ones because they seemed to absorb odors and then I had a difficult time cleaning them. THe aluminum ones are easy to clean and very sturdy.
With the smartphone, I had one of those rubber sleeves and the problem is they stick to your clothes. So...when you put them into your pocket, you run the risk of dropping them. Got rid of mine quickly and for my smart phone, I have a little bag for lack of a better word - the smartphone pops in there and is safe and secure and then goes in my lab coat. Its still easy to hear and get to in a pinch.

Agree with traumaRUs. Those rubberized cases are a pain when you want to put it away or when you are taking it out. I finally replaced it with a hard molded plastic case called an "Active Case" by Boxwave. I'm really happy with it. It doesn't have any room to put memory cards in. It doesn't matter to me because I haven't even filled the one 2GB memory card I installed and have an open slot for another one.
