I am in last semester of nursing and we are able to use PDA's as long as it has the davis drug guide but I also know there must be others out there that are good... any suggestions

Epocrates Rx, Archemedes (calc). Both free at Skyscape.com; both decent packages.

You every heard "You get what you pay for". True in PDA software as well. There are some really cool medapps out there, some pretty cheap, some rather expensive.

You might want to check out Ebay there is tons of software on there for really cheap and you can get full versions of programs like Taber's and Davis'...

Be careful on Ebay. I bought something called a Palm DR after purchasing it in December. I tried unsuccessfully to get the programs to work for two weeks. I noticed shortly after this that all of this software had been removed from Ebay and that the seller was no longer registered with Ebay which left me unable to leave feedback or contact him. As always if it sounds to good to be true...it probably is.
