You're getting too many ads on this site

I have been coming here for years, but now less and less frequently. All the flashing ads and choppy graphics make it a pain to sort through the garbage to get to the messages, which what this site used to be about. A couple years ago it was not so bad, but now I rarely come. I’m sure there is lots of $$$ to be made running adds, but I miss the simpler and more relaxed style you had previously.

You can always use Firefox. No more flashing! Not what the forum had in mind...

I'm not affiliated with this site as anything except a reader and occasional poster, but I do have extensive experience with the Internet--I used to run a web hosting business. Paying for the hosting of a site this large and being compensated for the vast amount of time it undoubtedly takes to run the site can become a very expensive endeavor. The advertising on forum sites like this is what helps keep the sites alive.

I don't see any choppy graphics myself, though... maybe it's a browser compatibility issue?
