Re: What is the greenlight?

the green/gray light indicates whether ur logged in or not. the warning bar indicates whether or not you have any warnings. not sure what you can get warnings for...but perhaps you should read up in the FAQs section. it might be able to answer any more questions you have.

Re: What is the greenlight?

Hello, burn out,

The warning percent is only for your eyes. Only you can see yours (and, the staff). You cannot see other member's warning levels.

As for the green light - that means you are online. Some members may have grey lights - not online. Others, red lights - running invisible.

Re: What is the greenlight?

Brian created a video demo to help members understand how to navigate through the forums and some basic steps such as:
  • How to use the Navigation Menus
  • How to search the website
  • How to post a new thread
  • How to reply to an existing thread
  • the user control panel (user cp)
  • quicklinks menu
  • and more
video is approx. 10 minutes long. May take awhile on dialup. Requires flash plugin (most browsers already have this) If you don't visit: Download Flash Player

Great info on where are things located on a bulletin board, how to use tool bars (how do those buttons /drop down boxes operate) and info availalbe at our website.

what's the point of making the light red. then we'll all know that that person is still online, just invisible. maybe it should still appear grey (not online). isnt that the point why they want to be invisible? not really a big deal, im just wondrin

Other's can't see you as "red". Only you see yourself as "red"

So, in summary:

Online and Running clear: Green for you and everyone else
Online and running invisible: Red for you, gray for everyone else
Offline: Gray for you and everyone else

Hope I made sense...
