I agree the advertising on the left is very annoying. I'm not any more likely to click on it just because it's in the way - actually, I'm less likely to click on it BECAUSE it's in the way.

Thanks for the feedback. It's the exact same size as it was when the column was on the right side, it's not taking any more space up.

We are trying the layout change for awhile for several reasons. Change is tough to get used to. We'll try and change little at a time.

For those of you who are having troubles with having to scroll to the side, you should be able to change your resolution so more of the screen shows up. I will also talk with our developer to see if he can adjust the code so you wont have to scroll.

In the future, we may make consider making it user selectable option for premium members, but right now, that is not an option.

I'll second the thought that if an ad annoys me I'll make a point of not clicking. I don't buy from telemarketers either( no matter how much I've always wanted a condo in Florida).

If we're talking about changes how about making the forums multicolored instead of the old 70's Harvest gold? I'll vote barf green for the ER, and dark maroon for OB, yellow for urology, and something in stripes for the psych nurses.
