I always click the box at the bottom of threads I've posted to in order to be notified of responses to those threads. However, I never get them? I check back in by way of bookmarks and there are new responses. Any suggestions?

I get some responses but not to many. I can keep up on a thread with the e-mail notification. I am not sure why I am not getting the thread responses.

one thing comes to mind:

have you checked to see IF there WERE responses after yours? (stupid question but had to ask)

I checked your bb profile and set up correctly to receive b mail.
Many email systems have filters that will not allow mail to go through.
Add: forums@allnurses.com to your trusted sites section under security.

Check your spam filter too to make sure we didn't accidentally get added there---happened to me recently.
