Question New Med Forum ?

I wondered if anyone thought it would be a good idea to have a med forum.
The reason i say this is b/c alot of medications are used across the board not just to a particular type of nursing.

I think it would be nice if I had a question such as this:
Example
If I have a pt post-op on Colace and pepcid after a CAB and they have never taken it before. They ask why would they be on it ? What could I tell them?

I know the med books define this but I'm looking for a more in depth answer that would pertain to this particular pt.

I don't want to just say stool softener and acid reducer.

I get a better grasp on my meds when it is explain to me in plain folks language and I'm sure my pt would appreciate it too!

Just thought about it when I was looking for threads about cardiac meds
and wondered if anyone thought it would work and if so could we do it?

Please forgive me if there is something I missed when looking for medication on the board. Thanks!!!!!!!!!!
