Just an idea here..... How many of you would find a Forum on Clinic/Office Nurses interesting? Are there any of you who ARE Clinic/Office nurses and would want to see such a Forum?

I'm not a Nurse yet, but I read several forums to get an idea of some of the issues that concern nurses in the work place. It appears that many of the other forums are dominated by hospital employees. I think a forum for Clinic/Office nurses will give a different perspective.

I am interested in seeing such a forum because I have worked in clinics before and I am interested in working in a small clinic again as soon as I become a Registered Nurse. Thanks!

Thank you Suebird3 for suggesting this new kind of forum. I was an active member of AllNurses when I was a student, then when I became an LPN in a clinic, I suddenly had nothing in common with those nurses who worked in hospitals doing shift work or LTC facilities, or students for that matter. I would love to come back as an active member (even a premium member) if there was a place for nurses who work in clinics to chat about their day and the craziness that goes on in walk in clinics such as family practices or specialty clinics like the one I work in (Endocrinology).
So, I'm hoping that we can get Brian to OK a forum for us clinic nurses. Let's keep this thread going.

Changed title to Outpatient/Office nursing (figure that covers the "O"s! )

The description remains the same, which includes ambulatory care and physicians office nursing.

I would. I am wanting to explore all my options and maybe that will help me decide which area I want to go in. I love reading what all the different fields of nurses do.
