I LOVE this site because we can come here and vent and most people will at least have some sympathy/empathy for us. Those of us who have been in nursing a while just have to let it out and here we can without hurting patients, families, or coworkers

I can always find somebody who has had a worse day than I have and that alone makes me grateful for where I am working

Allnurses.com is the best! I'm turning in to an addict. I tell all of my nurse friends to check it out, and print out some things I think they might want to read. The only bad thing about it is- I'm turning into an addict!

I've been reading this site for years now, starting way back when I was only thinking about nursing school. I can honestly say that these forums are a big reason why I am now in my third (of 4) semester, and a big reason why I am doing so well.

My instructors and fellow students are often amazed at the things I know about this profession. Much, *much* more importantly, I am able to ask better questions thanks to what I learn here.

I'm always pointing my fellow students to threads on this, or links to info that I got from here. I always give allnurses as my "source", and encourage others to tool around on here.

Many times, I disagree on the moderation of this board. I am a fan of letting things get fought out a little more vigorously, with closings/edits/banning only things like spamming, threats, illegal material, etc. However, any time I feel annoyed, I have a reality check on the incredible resource this place is, and how much me (and my patients!) have benefitted from the info I've gleaned from my many hours of perusing these threads.
