"How to" question

I want to learn how to do this: I have seen several posts (usually the long, controvertial ones!!) where a someone wants to refer to several posts in one reply and posts different quotes from different people. How do you do that? I know how to quote one person, but how do you quote different people in the same post?

Re: "How to" question

Well having never done it myself I would imagine it would be as simple as
highlighting the section, copying and pasting it into your post, adding the OPs username,
I'm sure there is probably a simpler way.
For quoting a single person it's as simple as clicking the quote button below their post.

Re: "How to" question

When you're writing a message, the button that looks like a text bubble from a comic will place the quote tags around the text in your message that you highlight.

Then it will look like a quote like this.
If you want to be sure to identify the owner of the quote, make sure you add: =Username inside the first brackets like this: [quote=Reno1978]

Hope that helps.

Re: "How to" question

Just click on the 'quote' button. It's blue and on the bottom right of someone's post.

Read my OP again. I know how to quote ONE person. I want to know how to reply to multiple quotes in the same thread without having to post to each one separately.

For example I type (without the *) [quote=*Roy Fokker's Grandpa] Roy Fokker is a lazy bum[/*quote] around anything.

This comes out as:

Sometimes I copy text and then type in the quote tags around them. I find this to be the fastest way to do multiple quotes in a post.

Then again, I am a geek, soo....
