I am a registered member, but often log on just to "browse". Starting today, I have noticed a pesky drop-down message encouraging me to sign up at Allnurses. Is there any way to get rid of this? It is incredibly distracting.

It must be new. I see it when I browse before I log in...makes me nuts. Then I log in and it goes away.... just gives you another reason to be a premium member.

It is something new we are trying, we have a ton of people who just lurk and never participate on the forums. We just thought we'd try it for a short period and see if it improves the # of people registering?

It most likely is not a permanent fixture I can see how it may be irritating.

You don't need to be a premium member to get rid of it, just log in.

please please please fix it/get rid of it...i love to browse and dont always sign in....and when i am looking in the new post sections i often have to go back a few pages cause of all the new posts, so clickin it is a pain in the butt. maybe if we all revolt it will be taken off?!?!?!

I changed the settings last night, now the reminder window should only pop up once per browser session after you close it.

So say you come to allnurses, you see it, you click the X to close it, you should not see it anymore that session. However, if you close your browser and come back you will see it again.

This should be much less annoying Thanks for all the feedback!
