I wonder if a forum for CNAs could be set up... I've noticed several floating around the site, and there are some CNA-specific issues that should probably be discussed without clogging up other forums. enguin:

Re: CNA forum

i agree 100%. i KNOW cna's are not nurses and i get irritated by cna's who call themselves nurses; however they are a vital asset in nursing. plus, alot of future RN's are now cna's (myself included!). i think RNs should want to know how their cna's feel about certain things and cna's can learn how to better serve the nurse.

that's my one cent on the subject....i get the other cent when i graduate!

Re: CNA forum

It has been brought up before for discussion. At the time, it was decided to not have a separate forum. I will bring it to the Staff Forum for discussion.

Thank you for the suggestion.

Re: CNA forum

I would like to see a CNA forum as well.
I myself am a CNA and there are many things I belive CNAs should be able to talk to one another about.
Yes I understand Nurses need to know about things but it would open a better relationship for all CNAs to be able to find one another on a forum of this size.
I think CNAs would be able to advise one another on things in the related field.
I have been on this forum a while now and dont really talk to anyone but I do look for CNAs to post that may be able to share things with me and myself with them about my experances as a CNA.

Re: CNA forum

I'd like it if we had a cna forum too. Like someone said above, many of us are on our way to becoming RN's.

I'm new at my cna job and have so many questions!

Re: CNA forum

The conversations we had regarding setting one up were positive. I do need to get more approvals to see if we can go with this idea. Sorry, the wheels are churning slowly here. Know that we are attempting get it approved. I shall let you know. PM me if you like (if you do not hear back in a week.

Thank you for your patience.

Re: CNA forum

It would be an awesome idea. Not only for CNA's to discuss issues regarding the profession. But to give RN's and LPN's perspective on what CNA's are thinking. If an RN needs the opinion on how to properly manage a CNA for example.

Great idea!
