After reading, researching, soul-searching, praying, etc.

, this board helped me to make what i know will prove to be a life-changing decision for me. I'm a 39-year-old mother of three who has worked in customer service since I was 16. To me, there is nothing that could be more gratifying than helping another human being. I've felt the need for the past few years to do something meaningful with my life (not knocking customer service, but I need more out of life!) and I know that nursing will give me the fulfillment that I am searching for. If it would not have been for my frequent visits to this board (don't post much but am on the board constantly!) I would not have made the decision to "go for it!" Yes, I'm scared to death, but more scared of NOT doing this. I start my prereqs in August for my ADN and plan to take the CNA course as well so that I can work in a health-care setting and start to get some hands-on experience.
This board has been invaluable to me. I can't say enough good things about it!!!
