Dria: Check your pop-up blocking software....add allnurses to list of approved sites or change setting to permit pop-ups temporarily.

sorry Brian...thought of that on my drive to work today!
I am running IE 7..OS Win XP
this is not a constant issue, but i am getting once or twice a week.
Karen...pop up settings don't seem to affect the issue...thanks for the suggestion though!
