Of course, just after I posted that, I had a page time out on me again . We will keep plugging away trying to squash the bugs. Please keep posting your results of how the website is functioning to you. Thanks again!

While we're also talking about website problems ... I also thought I'd mention I've had problems with the cookies on this site.

It's gotten to the point that I need to log in and out all the time because, otherwise, the cookies really slow down my computer.

So ... I just thought I'd let you know.

Re: Anyone Else Experiencing Problems With This Website?

I have had occasional problems with pages being slow to load or not loading at all. This can happen with ANY website at busy times. Also, websites can be hit with malicious traffic that will slow everyone down (denial-of service attacks, etc.).
If there are server upgrades being done, there will always be settings that need to be changed from their defaults before things will run 100% smoothly.
If you are a user, try going to another website (yahoo, weather channel. etc.). If those load at normal speed, the slowness may be at allnurses. If everything is slow, it may be your internet provider (your phone co., cable co., etc.)
Also, go to 'tools-->internet options--->delete...' on your browser periodically. Delete your temporary internet files & cookies. If this is never done, these files get really big and can slow your browser greatly. (This is also known as 'internet cache'.)

Re: Anyone Else Experiencing Problems With This Website?

Finally, I thought it was just my computer. It usually happens when I have a really really good or helpful post, ( coincidence? ) I'm usually just typing away at my very good post , and whammy, the computer gets stuck , makes me wanna just , u know break the computer. It happens rarely so it doesn't bother me so much.

Thanks again for the feedback, we will look into the cookie issue further and see what can be done. Keep the feedback coming, good or bad.

Re: Anyone Else Experiencing Problems With This Website?

anybody having issues with tabbed browsing?
I find when i right click a link to open in a new tab, it either A. times out or B. does not display the pop up menu allowing me to even select the option to open link in new tab.
i am able to open a second browser window, but the above noted difficulties continue.
all is well on other sites, so this is definitely an allnurses problem.

Re: Anyone Else Experiencing Problems With This Website?

dria,

Can you be more specific to what browser you are having problems with? There are several browsers that support tabs? It seems to work fine for me in IE (Internet Explorer), FF (FireFox). Any additional info you might be able to provide would be helpful. Thanks
