Thumbs up WooooHoooo!

I got accepted for the distance wound care school. I applied to Wick's Educational Associates, Inc., and was accepted.

I will start in July. Right now I am finishing up nail tech school. I will be done w that hopefully ny the end of July.

My wound care cert will help my footcare biz, and I plan to do independent wound care consulting. Want to work for myself, not other people and their rules!!! I do not take orders well!

What great news!!

Glad I can be the first to congratulate you. Lasalle College Phila also has Wound care MSN program if you need any additional courses. Met many CETN's educated by Wick's---you will be an asset.

If you want to do wd care in Philly---willing to put in the word at my agency re your good follow-up! Can hook you up with Kathy Thimsen RN, CETN, Administrator at Lourdes HH--(formerly with Sterling Medical )re mentorship/practice consultant.

Thank you all. It is exciting.

Thanks Karen. I have several more local mentors fortunately, and just found out another friend just graduated from LaSalle's program.

In will gladly accept a referral for consulting work once I am done w school. Right now family, two school programs, working, and getting my small biz off the ground is consuming all my time. I am sure once I finish the wound & ostomypart of the program I will be ready to go, as not much call for continence in my area anyway.

I'll let you know when I can handle it.
