Thanks you guys!

What a great first week. How NICE is it to actually look forward to your job?
Get in , get out, chart at home, not totally exhausted or consumed by work. Appreciated by the patients, spending time talking/teaching. Yes the OASIS is a ton of work but who cares, no call lights, no pager. So far, so good. Some of the bad is the homes, (saw a family who ENCOURAGES their 2 dogs to relieve themselves in the house) traffic, no ready supplies at hand (this is learning) But man! Has this been an awesome change of pace. Let's see how I feel in 6 months! My husband said, "It is so nice to see you so happy about your job, finally.) He also said how much he likes waking up with me there for coffee in the morning. Yep, this is for me! Thanks for encouraging me to do this!

Re: Thanks you guys!

Glad to hear things are going well. And as tedious as the OASIS can be, it does get easier/quicker as you do it more. I used to spend a few hours charting at home each evening...but as I became more proficient charting in homes ( some of them anyway) and got quicker at OASIS..I brought less home. And I still feel that a bad day in HH would be a good day in the hospital!

Re: Thanks you guys!

So glad to hear that it is going well for you. Less stress, more time for family. The paperwork will get easier as you go. Seems like you got in with a good agency. Hope everything continues to go well for you.
