Someone Forged My Initials on Oasis!!!!

I have a question for experienced home health nurses out there!! I have 3 years hospital experience but I am new to home health (and I do love it very much so far!). The other day, an LVN and I disagreed about a certain pt's need for a HHA. I feel that the pt doesn't need the aide but the LVN doesn't agree. So she went behind my back and had the HHA supervisor (who is a CNA herself) change my frequencies, change my documentation on the Oasis Recert, and someone forged my initials on it!! I was so angry as anyone would be, so I immediately wrote a communication note (that goes into the chart), corrected my documentation and put my notice in. The owners had a meeting with everyone and they are not taking any corrective action against anyone or making any efforts to rectify the situation. Is there anything else I should do to protect myself? I really don't think I'm overreacting...I mean, this is illegal activity and disrespectful and immoral, etc.....would love to hear everyone's thoughts!! Thanks!

first what i would be angry about is the LPN over riding the RN orders,,,you are the case manager and she works under you,,,,communication between the 2 of you is necessary for input, and perhaps she has seen something that you didn't....but the RN has the final say as it is she who will supervise the aide .... i don't understand why nothing was at least said to her!!! it is wrong....that would anger me also...

Inasmuch as the owners did not back up their RN in this matter, or even bother to discuss the matter with their RN supervisor, I believe you did the right thing in resigning. The CNAs are running the ship and showing you that you are not respected there. In the past, I have found that when management does not deal with forged documentation or other instances of fraud, it is not a good idea for the person who reports this to them, to hang around. Only you can protect your license. Why stay in a position where down the line you may be answering for your employer in an investigation? There's another job out there for you. Good luck.
