returning to home health

Hi, I am starting to interview for home health positions. I did it for 4 years, last time in NJ and in 2000. Since then I have been working mainly in SNFs in FL. Any advice???? Are there any home health nurses out there from Pinellas County Florida? What do I need to watch out for when I interview them? Thanks

I don't know much about the Florida job market. I assume you were out of there before PPS and Oasis kicked in. There will be some changes for you to learn related to all of that. We're in and out usually much faster with fewer visits. Are seeing more things like wound vacs, pain pumps, iv antibiotics, etc. in t he home

I agree OASIS, coding changes/back to V codes again/big smile/PPS/JCAHO changes. HIPPA and compliance information coming out of your ears/bigger smile and many have changed pay structure.
