Medical billing for private insurance agencies

Im a new member to this site and must admit that Im very impressed! Im nearing the final stages of starting a home care agency and was wondering if anyone had any pointers on medical billing for private insurance agencies. Im not going the medicare/medicaid route due to the start-up cost.

I don't really have any advice/info/insights to offer you. Just curious on how things are going for you? Have you done HH before? I know that my agency's cases are about 85% medicare/medicare cases. We would be VERY slow if we were not certified for MC. Good luck to you.

Re: Medical billing for private insurance agencies

Sorry I'm not able to directly provide input for your question. Thought you might be able to get some pointers by placing a call to your competition and asking for some input. Believe it or not, some people are only too happy to be of assistance, especially when you are asking for help. You might be able to establish some working relationships with the other agencies, wherein you send them business and they do likewise. Just a thought. Good luck with your endeavor.
