LPN in home health.. any other lpns

out there doing this? I was looking to get into home health but I'm not sure what to expect. I have a years exerience in LTC/rehab nursing and I wonder if I'm ready for this type of nursing (skill wise). What have been your experiences? Any tips you can pass along would be great!

Re: LPN in home health.. any other lpns

There are many LPNs in home health. I entered hh with a background in LTC. That was considered to be sufficient. You can find tips in many of the threads in the hh forum. You will find that going from the hectic LTC environment to having one client at a time (and their family) is going to be quite a difference. Depending upon the case, you should find hh to be quite relaxing and less stressful. Hope you enjoy working in this area and good luck in finding a good agency and good cases.
