Has anyone out there has to d/c their patients because they go to recert a patient and find out that they now have a new HMO as primary and not medicare? we are having that problem here where I live. they "walk" around the area and get the elderly to change over to their plan, which ends of being worse than keeping their medicare as primary? anyone else having this problem? this is happing in louisianan.

we do have patients on the medicare HMO's but we are still able to service them, is it your agency that is not accepting the HMO's-----always something with medicare!!!!!
