Landmark anybody?

Can anyone tell me their experience with Landmark? I'm looking at an admissions position. Pay is per visit. I'm in the Pittsburgh area. PM me if you like. Thanks.

Re: Landmark anybody?

I wanted to resurrect this post from the impending grave because this company has a huge ad going in my area and forewarned is forearmed. The interview was weird considering they were advertising "excellent per visit rates" for a full time "admissions nurse". I was offered $47 per admission with a bonus bringing it up to $65 if I had it submitted by 8am the following day. $65 is the going rate around here with no strings attached. Then came the weird part. I was asked if I was willing to split my time between admissions and working in a doctors office 5 or 6 hours a day at doctor's office pay rates.

Just wanted anyone thinking of responding to the ad to know how my interview went.

Re: Landmark anybody?

Sounds weird to me. All of the attention to ads in the paper and then the switch up when you interviewed. I wouldn't be surprised if the ad and per visit job were not really a front for the MD office position. You might spend most of your time doing the office job, get very little to no assignments for visits. Obviously, the pay is much less to work in the office. I think they should have been more forthcoming in their ad. They should have indicated that this was a combined job. Could have played it up with the "rare opportunity" line or such. Hope you make the right decision concerning this job. Wouldn't want you to be taken advantage of.

Re: Landmark anybody?

Thanks for posting your experience at the interview. It is good to warn others about possible problem situations. At least someone reading your post will have an idea what to expect and won't go in blind.

Re: Landmark anybody?

What did I tell them? I told the guy who interviewed me that I make $65 for an admission now with no strings attached, that I wouldn't take a paycut and I wasn't too sure if the doctor's office connection was ethical for me or the agency. It became clear pretty early on that I wasn't going to fall for the bait and switch and then I ended the interiew politely.

What turnip truck do they think we fell off of?

Re: Landmark anybody?

Good for you for being so forthright in your answer. But there are some who really are naive or so hard up for a job that they would jump at this "opportunity".
