frequencies of visits

I am working with a start up agency and the average numbers of our visits are much higher than the national average. We had 55 visits on one pt in a cert period. Is there any guidelines I could refer to so this does not happen again?

I would think the owners/management would have already that information before starting a HH agency.
55 visits in a cert period is almost a visit per day. How on earth does that happen? Best of luck Hon.

Re: frequencies of visits

Do you have the responsibility for determining number of visits? Sounds like the managers don't quite know what they are doing or they are trying to get their business afloat. You should discuss this with the DOCS and business manager if you do not agree with what is going on.

I don't see how they stay in business paying their nurses for that many visits. You only get a set amount of money depending on the OASIS. They won't stay in business very long paying for that many visits.
