Cardiac home health care....newbie questions !

I am pondering a part-time/reduced caseload job in cardiac home health care. I have never worked in home health but I do have a lot of cardiac care experience including CCU (but it was ten years ago); cardiac rehab and most recently in the emergency room setting.

I am assuming that the typical patient is either CHF or a post-CABG who experienced complications/delayed healing in the hospital. I know a few years ago a lot of these patients were on drips at home, is this still the case ?

Any insight you could give me into this field would be very helpful. Also, how would it work in the summertime when I need to be home with my daughter OR if I have a class on a certain day (I am in grad school part-time).
