Hi..I just accepted a HHN position----Just wondering how many patients most HHN see in a day? also does every patient get an oasis form? Is this form done only one time? and do you complete it in the home of the patient? Thanks so much

Re: ACCUITY..advice--info needed

welcome to HH
oasis---some agencies to them on all patients, other only on medicare, tricare, medicaid,,,but it is mandatory on medicare patients...you do it on admission, on post hospital, on recert (after each 60 day episode) on discharge and on transfer to a inpt facitlity (hospital) i personally don't do it in the home,,,i collect the info and them do it at a later time,,,if you do it in the home you will be there for awhile, i do just what has to be done in the home and the rest later..most agencies have RN's see the equivalent of 6 patients,,,some count admissions as 2 or 3 hope all this helps
