omg. i am so very happy to hear that you got into school magno79. you give me that hope that i too can do it. my gpa is not that great either. i realized i wanted to do anesthesia at the end of my associates degree and by then the damage was done to my grades already. i have just finished my bachelors in dec.07 and now i am interviewing to work in the ICU. i will start applying for schools in 2 years. i have a funny saying---my grades are not good enough but i would give my right leg to be a crna! i plan to apply for 2 schools in new jersey and 2 in new york (i live in NY). if i don't get into 1 i will be very depressed and hurt.
thank you for your post magno79.

It really depends on the program. The lowest GPA accepted to my program this year was over 3.6, and that person had over 5 years experience. Be flexible, get the best ICU experience you can, and don't rule out the possibility of taking additional courses to bring your GPA up.

3.75 Nursing and Science---I am consistent I guess.
3.2 Finance 15 years ago
I think a solid grade point of 3.25 and above with good GRE and recommendations and a good attitude goes a long way. There are some who work their tale off and get 4.0 and others who it comes easy too. I worked hard but also lived life. Could I have gotten a 4.0---sure, but at what cost to family and sanity.
I look at CRNA school as a lifetime opportunity and I will do what it takes to stay in.

3.7 after earning 4.0 since beginning nursing school. I had to bring it up from 2.5.
I really doesn't matter now because I have no plans to return to formal ecucation.
Employers just want to see the license. And CCRN. For direct care they hire ADN and BSN equally. I agree with that.

3.7 RN Diploma
3.9 Perioperative nursing
Now taking BN.
No one has ever asked me how my marks were in an interview, only want to know what my clinicals and practical experience have been like, and how much continuing ed I am active in seeking.

I'm glad to see someone with a GPA in the 3.o range got in to CRNA school. You give the rest of us "underachievers" hope.
Thanks
