I have been preparing to apply to CRNA school for about 4 yrs now. I had all of my recommendations, paid the app fee, wrote essay, etc and was notified that for the application for starting July 2009 (deadline Sept 2008) is now requiring the GRE...another hurdle (just when I thought I was prepared)....

Just wanted to know when UTMEM required GRE. I too am planning on applying the Sep deadline. They had informed me that the GRE was not a requirement. Is this something new?

Yes. I just spoke with Mr. xxxxx. He said UT was starting it again to level off the "playing field". He said that grades were too inflated now. He also said that PALS was a requirement and has been for some time. I haven't even seen that as a listed requirement. Needless to say, I guess I am going to take the GRE to see how I do. I haven't taken prereqs (ie maths and english classes) for almost 9 years----yikes!
