Really, the program is very doable. All anesthesia programs seem to take more of a psychological toll on you versus a physical one. (though it does that too) It is a LOT of work in a short period of time. You don't just learn matierial and regurgitate it for a test. The goal is to master the material.
I started last fall. I am enjoying clinicals. The faculty is great. I would love to talk to you about books, etc. I don't think I can give out my info on this forum, so email Rossana (Marlene is away) and ask her for my email.

Hi all, wanted to get some feedback as to the UM program...I was accepted and have chosen UM mainly because of having Jackson as a clinical site and that they have a scholarship that covers all tuition (I owe enough already!). Just wanted to see what I am going to face, how are the professors, clinicals, etc....Have heard some things that worried me, but it seemed to me that they were really fine tuning their program.

Hello I have been accepted to class of 2010. I received your e-mail address from someone who moved to D.C. I hope you do not mind. I am hoping to get some insight of the UM program, you likes and dislikes. And a few specific questions.

Did the faculty/program put added stress on you?
Was the Faculty helpful to you or other students?
Did you think there was unnecessary material in class?
Have you ever taken an exam after a call shift,night shift, or day shift during clinicals?
Did you have any time for your self/family (at least one day of the week) ?
Did the faculty seem to be unfair to any one at any time?
Do you recommend the UM NAP program or is not worth the time?
