Re: Starting TWU Fall 2006?

Well, I just thought I'd pass this info along for those that check this thread/posts. I heard from the school that letters were mailed out yesterday. I'm not sure if it's just clinical slot assignments, which is what I am waiting on, or acceptance/rejection letters also. So I expect next week we'll be congratulating more people as they hear from TWU for the class of 2008! And on a sad note, for those of you who will have to reapply for next year, don't give up!

Hey all,
I just received my acceptance letter today! Only bad thing:clinical site in california!! I live in Abilene! Guess I won't be seeing my family for a while. At least it looks like a nice hospital. What are everyone's plans for housing? All I've really heard about are the on-campus graduate apartments.

From all that I have heard, you will do great in Colton, California. I have read on this site and heard from others that the RRNAs out there have great experiences.

Currently, I live about 1/2 an hour from Ft. Worth, so I am a commuter the first year.

You will like Arrowhead. Their call schedule is better than Lubbock. Oppss.... hey thats just my opinion. They have lots of regional ( both OB and non- OB ) and trauma cases but less on cardiac cases ( less central lines and swan placement ) but other than that it is an excellent site.

Hello all, I will be starting at TWU in the Fall/06 as well. Yes, I am very anxious and excited not knowing what all to expect. I got Lubbock as my clinical site--which is where I wanted. I also have issues with leaving my family. I am thinking that once I start and get an idea of time/study etc., I can better judge if I can handle having family there. It will be difficult with or without them but I know we can make anything work! Would love to meet other classmates! See ya'll soon.
